Sea Shells

We examined sea shells from Salthill carefully. We felt all the lines and patterns with our fingers, then we drew them carefully from very close up. Niko had a fantastic idea - we stuck the real shells next to our drawings so you can see how close they are to the real thing!

Try one of our tongue twisters: She sells sea shells on the sea shore, but the sea shells that she sells aren't sea shells I'm sure!

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers people say. For picking them I hope that Peter got a penny for his pay!

Welcome! Fáilte!

Welcome to 3rd Class.

There are 30 children in our class, 16 boys and 14 girls. We are always aiming to be our best selves in and outside of our classroom. We have a great work ethic and take pride in our work. We are honest and kind to each other.

3rd Class Parents/Guardians, please find some notes here on how you can support your child in 3rd Class https://www.ncca.ie/en/resources/helping_your_child_in_third_and_fourth_classes.

Gaeilge: Some basic phrases are provided on this website, which you can click to hear aloud. Very useful for saying a few words with your child in the home: https://www.transparent.com/learn-irish/phrases.html#Basic%20Phrases

We practice mindful breathing and stretching in our classroom most days. This is a link to a video similar to what we would do in our classroom, it might be a nice way for children to relax before or after school or homework: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vuaCHEAs-4.

Please enjoy our class blog!
